Megadraw (1989) is a programmer's animation creation program. With it, you can fairly easily draw 24x24 pixel images, and animate 16 of them into a sequence. The program writes out hex shape tables that your program can read, or if you're using QuickBasic (now obsolete) it can also write the animation source code for you. Megadraw was written to complement the Television Display Software I was writing for my college television station. It was a Shareware failure, garnering only one registration. However, the display was very pretty at the time, and it appeared prominently in a few Shareware catalogs and books. The sample image is really silly.
