In October 2001 I travelled to Paris on business. Below are two pictures from that trip, taken by Stephane Barbery, who runs www.barbery.net as well as a Lyris ListManager resale business in Paris called www.serveur-de-listes.com. Stephane is quite the polymath and we had great talking about everything from Philosophy, Psychoanalysis, JS Bach, Evolutionary Psychology, Technology and Science Fiction, stetching our 5 course meal out to 4 hours. A 16 frame "movie" of photographs of Stephane and I on "Ponts des Arts" in Paris. Me, after having just eaten a cheese called "la boulette d'Arverne", which the cheese-expert waiter had just described as "possibly the strongest flavored cheese in France". Yes, it was beyond my ability to appreciate (the experience was somewhat like eating your first raw Jalapeno pepper, except in cheese form)
