These pictures are taken at the Internet world 1999 conference (April 13-19, 1999), where my company (Lyris Technologies) was exhibiting.

These are two pictures inside the convention. You can see in both pictures (pointing in opposite directions) just how large this show is, since you cannot see the end of the ceiling lights.

This is a photograph of the front entrance of the convention. Note on the left-hand side of the photograph how there is a huge "E" on the sidewalk. This is a silly concept that HP was pushing, that HP calls the new "E" for the new e-business. Last spring HP had similarly silly signs on the front of the New York convention hall which read "HP = Internet". These signs are just so catchy, they make me want to run and spend money on HP hardware!

This wonderful hallway connected the convention hall with the keynote speech hall. I loved how the light came in through the glass and steel to leave shadows on everything. The effect was very reminiscent of the modern buildings in Paris.

This is a photograph inside the keynote speech Hall. You can see how this is a big "multimedia" event, complete with multiple screens, lighting rig and fancy stage.
